Microsoft has made a huge mess with the Start Menu and the Start Screen confusion. After removing the popular start menu in Windows 8, Microsoft attempted to bring it back in Windows 8.1, but Windows 10 marks the complete comeback of the feature.
However, this doesnt mean everybody has to love the Start Menu and if they enjoyed the previous Start Screen, they might even want to come back to that and switch back from the Start Menu.
So, if you have downloaded Windows 10 already and you are looking to bring back the Windows 8 Start Screen in Windows 10, here are the steps you need to take:
The technical preview will expire in mid-April, 2015, so thats when well know whether this feature will remain or not.

- Right-click on the Taskbar, select properties
- Navigate to the Start Menu tab
- Tick “Use Start Screen instead of Start Menu”
- Sign out and Sign in again
